INVITED LECTURERS
Prof. Carl Foster, PhD.

Director of the Human Performance Laboratory and Research Director of the Clinical Exercise Physiology program at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. He is a Past President of ACSM (2005-2006) and Treasurer of ACSM (2013-2016) and was the chairperson of the Research Committee for AACVPR. Carl published over 400 scientific articles, monographs and position stands. He was the Editor of the International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance (2009-2013) and a long time Associate Editor of Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise (1989-2004).

Prof. Matthieu Lenoir, PhD.

Matthieu Lenoir is Full Professor at the Department of Movement and Sports Sciences of the Ghent University. He obtained his Phd in Physical Education at his Alma Mater in 1997. Two major lines of research are dominant in his work: He focuses, over more than a decade now, on motor competence in a wide variety of target groups, including aspects of measurement, understanding the factors affecting the development of motor competence, and promoting motor competence in these populations...

Prof. Jay Coakley, PhD.

Jay Coakley is a Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Much of his research over the past 45 years has investigated the relationship between sports, culture, and society. Coakley was the founding editor of the Sociology of Sport Journal, and his book, Sports in Society: Issues and Controversies, is published in its 13th edition (2020).

Prof. Tim Meyer, MD, PhD.

Prof. Tim Meyer is Head of international PhD programme "Science and Health in Football" at Institute of Sports and Preventive Medicine, Saarland University, Germany. Prof. Meyer´s focus of research covers medical aspects of football, exercise physiology (particularly recovery) and training prescription.  Besides his university work, since 1999 (since 2001 for the men´s national team “Die Mannschaft”) Meyer works as team physician for the German soccer association (DFB), as part of the national squad´s medical service team (including the World Cups 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018 as well as the European Championships 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020)...

Prof. Ann MacPhail, PhD.

Professor Ann MacPhail is Assistant Dean Research Education and Health Sciences and a member of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Limerick. In 2015, she received the Association of Physical Education in Higher Education (AIESEP) Lifetime Achievement Fellowship Award. 

Prof. Wladimir Andreff, PhD.

Professor Emeritus at University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, France. His research and teaching areas are sports economics, economics of (post-communist) transition, international economics.

Prof. Pierre Samozino, PhD.

Pierre Samozino is an Associate Professor at the Sport Sciences department of Université Savoie Mont Blanc, Chambéry in France. His research is mainly based on biomechanical approaches and focus on human locomotion and on muscle mechanical properties in relation to sport performance.

Prof. Rado Pišot, PhD.

Prof. Rado Pišot was initiator for the foundation and the first dean of the Faculty of Education of the University of Primorska in Koper (2003–2007). From 2007 to 2011 he was the Vice Chancellor in the field of scientific, research and developmental work of the University of Primorska. Since the establishment in 2004 and until March 2013, he was the head of the Institute for Kinesiology Research (IKARUS) at the Science and Research Centre, and a member of the Scientific Council of the UP SRC. 

Prof. Lex Mauger, PhD.

Teaches variety of Physiology modules at School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Kent. His current research involves improving our understanding of how exercise-induced pain affects the performance of exercise.

Prof. Radosław Kossakowski, PhD.

Radosław Kossakowski is an Associate Professor in Sociology, Director of Institute of Sociology at Gdańsk University, Chair of the Scientific Council of Sociology at the University of Gdańsk in Poland. His research is mainly based on the sociology of sport, football studies, masculinities studies, qualitative methodology, sociology of culture and identity studies.

Prof. Richard Mills, PhD

Dr. Richard Mills is Senior Lecturer in Modern European History at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. He has published widely on the history of sport, and his 2018 monograph, The Politics of Football in Yugoslavia: Sport, Nationalism and the State, was awarded the Lord Aberdare Literary Prize for Sport History. A Croatian edition, Nogomet i politika u Jugoslaviji: Sport, nacionalizam i država, was published by Profil in 2019.Dr. Richard Mills is Senior Lecturer in Modern European History at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. Conference Topics

AIM

Broadening of scientific insights into the latest research, theoretical and applicative findings and experiences from the vast field of kinesiology, the science of human movement, sport and exercise. A presentation of the latest information is expected from the basic principles to practical applications, especially reports on new scientific breakthroughs such as the human genome research, application of new technologies, revised educational concepts and, above all, the urgent need to find more effective ways of health preservation and well-being.  The aim of the Conference is also to enhance further cooperation between scholars and institutions in various competitive projects in different fields of kinesiology.
