Within the Library and Information Centre consists of two reading rooms – the bigger one with 45 seats and 20 internet and power sockets and the smaller one, the so called journal reading room, with 10 seats and six internet and power sockets, two depositories (the active, equipped withmovebale regals, and the passive in the basement) for library stock and librarians’ office. A lot of activities are carried out in that premises. The library holding includes more than 25,000 volumes of monographic publications, 280 titles of Croatian and foreign periodicals, an abundant collection of reference materials, and collections of the non-published Bachelor of Education, Master and Doctoral theses. The users are the students and Faculty members, as well as certain groups of guest-users (such as journalists, coaches, former students, other scientists and researchers from the University of Zagreb and from other Croatian universities, students of psychology, medicine and nutrition - over 13,500 visits and/or requests per academic year). The internal (Reading Room usage) and external lending of the library items, information and document search, interlibrary lending and borrowing, users’ training in library and information skills, dissemination of information are the services available in the Library. The library is an active participant of the Croatian university libraries’ consortium.
Vivid publishing activity of the faculty is organized and technically supported in the library. Results of the publishing activity are numerous textbooks, handbooks, proceedings and other materials concerning versatile teaching and research domains of kinesiology and adjacent scientific fields and areas.
